Upcoming in Summer 2008:
Karen Erickson and I will be teaching the Literacy in AAC course in Toronto May 18-23, 2008. Here are course details and registration information.

Karen Erickson and I have also agreed to present a series of one day workshops in Australia June 14-28, 2008, and teach a week-long short course in Rawson (near Melbourne) June 29-July 4. Further details will be posted as I learn them.

Sally Clendon (University of Sydney, Australia) and I also have agreed to teach the 4th Literacy in Disabilities session July 25-31, 2008 at Camp Courage near Minneapolis, MN. Adolescents with disabilities are provided a rich camp experience with 3 hours of engaging literacy activities per day. Parents and professionals are taught how to assess and support literacy learning in individuals with a range of disabilities. You can get a flavor of the experience at the 2006 literacy camp blog and camp/course description. To register as a camper, contact cindy.campcourage@yahoo.com. Direct questions about the camp to BARB.WOLLAK@spps.org. Further details will be posted as I learn them.

Finally, Karen Erickson and I have also agreed to teach the first Level II Literacy in AAC course in Florida in 2008 for participants who attended any of the Level I courses that CARD sponsored in the past five years. Dates have not been finalized but details will be posted here as they emerge.

Finn Jensen, of Denmark, is the talented artist who sketched me during a lecture.  My son Will's comment, "That's when you were skinnier.  Right, Dad?"
